YMCA Camp Racing Moon (ages 8-15)

Camp is an adventure—one that can help forge lifelong friendships, build self-confidence and change lives for the better. This summer the YMCA of the Chesapeake is proud to offer your camper their first over-night camp experience, not too far from home, at the YMCA’s outdoor adventure camp facility, Camp Racing Moon.

Located on the beautiful 100-acred wooded campus at the Lower Shore Family YMCA in Pocomoke City, Maryland. Campers will begin the week at their home YMCA on Monday preparing for the rest of the week’s adventure. On Tuesday morning, the YMCA transports campers to Camp Racing Moon where they will experience the best that outdoor adventure has to offer staying overnight Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. While staying in our newly built air-conditioned cabins campers will swim, canoe, fish, and zip across the 10-acre spring fed pond on the 550-foot zip line. Campers will get to stretch their imaginations and make new friends while engaging in archery at our newly renovated archery range, climbing the alpine tower, jumping off the blob, exploring bike trails and much more. Talented, trained and certified counselors guide the experience for campers to create memories that will last a lifetime. On Friday morning, the YMCA transports campers back to their home Y with a new appreciation of the outdoors.
